Yas Island Abu Dhabi’s trade & promotion arm reports 22% YoY growth  from Asian markets

United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, 17 October 2019 – Experience Hub, the trade and promotion arm of one of the world’s fastest growing leisure and entertainment destinations – Yas Island Abu Dhabi, is set to participate at ITB Asia in Singapore from 16-18 October 2019, underscoring the Island as a one-of-a-kind destination for UAE-bound travellers from Asia.

As the destination continues to grow and unveil new attractions, Yas Island has seen a 22% rise in visitation from key Asian markets, with 23% and 21% increases from India and China respectively, compared to last year. In 2018, Yas Island enjoyed the successful opening of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and in 2020, the destination will witness the debut of CLYMB, which will feature the world’s tallest indoor climbing wall and largest indoor skydiving chamber, alongside the opening of the stunning 18,000 capacity Yas Bay Arena. The indoor multi-purpose venue is just one component of Abu Dhabi’s newest leisure, cultural and entertainment offering, with Yas Bay’s The Waterfront incorporating two world-class hotels, a beach club, 37 cafes and restaurants as well as 19 retail outlets.

Equipped with a growing product portfolio and new trade tools, Experience Hub will showcase Yas Island’s award-winning and world class attractions to industry players while reconnecting with partners at ITB Asia to collaboratively create opportunities that will place the destination as a top of mind holiday experience to be enjoyed by visitors traveling to Abu Dhabi and the greater UAE.

Experience Hub continues to demonstrate its commitment to the Asian market by cultivating a growing network of more than 300 trade partnerships with dedicated teams strategically based out of ten key cities in Southeast and Pacific Asia. To further nurture these relationships, Experience Hub recently launched destination training and certification program, ‘Yas Expert.’ The online program enables travel agents to become in-market destination experts and enhance their own product offering. With more than 2,000 agents registered to date, Yas Expert is currently available to partners in India, as well as GCC and Europe, and will launch in Mandarin Chinese by the end of October.
