The card has also been launched with shifting consumer habits in mind, asmillennials increasingly spend moneyonline. According to data from the ‘Youth in the UAE’ surveypublished from Visa, millennials and Gen Z (ages 18 to 35) comprise around two-thirds of the UAE’s current population andfrequentlymakeonline shopping.
Insights from Visa also indicate that one in every five dollars spentin the UAE going towards food consumption.Additionally, food spendshavecontinued to grow at 8 per cent in 2019 compared to 2018, and there has been a shift towards the quick-service restaurant sector(including food delivery)which has resulted in 40 per cent growth in the industry.
